Vintage is HOT. You might have noticed it. And so, more and more shops arise to us with vintage clothing and/or (home) accessories.
One of my fabulous friends recently started an online shop, so I couldn’t not tell you about it, could I?
It’s cute, it’s pink, it’s elegant. Just like she is. It’s on Blajuro.nl
More awesome vintage fashion pieces and home accessories are to find on: Vintagerevival and Redress-vintage.
A little history lesson:
Not to long ago the word ‘vintage’ didn’t even exist. We all called old clothing: ‘used’ or ‘second-hand clothing’. But nowadays almost anything older than two seasons ago is called vintage. Undeserved, if you ask me.
That is, real vintage clothing is supposed to meet certain requirements, like:
- Manufactured between 1920′s and 1980′s. (before that, is just ancient)
- It has to be a rare. If there where loads of this piece of garment, sorry not vintage.
- Officially, it has to be a designer piece.
- It has to represent the time it was manufactured in.
- It does not have to be worn already.
I do admit that these standards are hard to meet up to, and they are a bit strict, but you never know when you could need this knowledge
